Sensei Biographies
Sensei Don
Sensei Don is a 3rd Degree Black Belt who has been studying and teaching the Villari's Shaolin Kempo Karate system since 1991. A 5-year absence due to a back injury saw Sensei Don return to martial arts with a renewed purpose, and he has since enjoyed the health and wellbeing provided by the physical activity and self-discipline inherent in the art. Sensei Don has studied under Master's Papas(8th), Gilbert(7th),
Pearson(7th), Bellucci(8th), and Burns(8th). Sensei Don's love of martial arts is apparent in his teaching style, and he has so far taught students of varying age groups at Wellington, West Palm Beach, Lake Park, and now Lake Park Martial Arts.
Sensei Mike
Sensei Mike is a 3rd Degree Black Belt, whose martial arts career began with Judo in college. After 14 years learning his original discipline, Sensei Mike became interested in Shaolin Kempo Karate, and decided to become a student at the Villari's West Palm Beach studio. Since 1995, Sensei Mike has studied and come under the direction of Masters' Pearson(7th), Fritz(9th), Gilbert(7th), Bellucci(8th), Burns (8th)and Mish.
Sensei Mike has been teaching Shaolin Kempo Karate for over 10 years in schools based in Wellington and Lake Park, and has now moved to Lake Park Martial Arts to help instruct the next generation of budding martial artists.
Sensei Cindy
Sensei Cindy embarked on her training at Villari's of Royal Palm Beach on April 22, 2002, studying at that school for four years. During her time there, she became Office Manager, and learned all the important aspects involved in managing and teaching in a martial arts school. After transferring to Villari's of Lake Park at the rank of 1st Degree Brown Belt, and further training with the other Sensei's of Lake Park, she earned her black belt on December 16th, 2006. After the schools relocation, Sensei Cindy resumed her position as Office Manager and helps run Lake Park Martial Arts. On July 7th, 2008, Sensei Cindy earned the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt, and intends to continue climbing the ranks.
Sensei Al
Sensei Al began studying martial arts in 1991, when his family (wife Virginia, and 3 sons aged 3, 5 and 7) joined the West Palm Beach Villari's studio of self-defense. Sensei Al studied under the direction of Masters Papas(8th), Gilbert(7th), Kenfield, and Thornton.
After further study and intense training under the direction and guidance of Master Pearson(7th), Sensei Al was given the honor of testing for his 1st degree black belt, which he obtained on June 29th, 2003.
Sensei Sean
Sean is the Owner and Director of Villari's Lake Park Martial Arts. His martial arts career began on July 22nd of 2001, when he joined Villari's of Royal Palm Beach. After achieving blue belt rank, he began consistently attending additional classes to observe students at various skill levels, and found he had an express interest in not only the process of learning, but also teaching. Sensei Sean was given a position at Villari's of Royal Palm Beach as an instructor, and completed 2 years of training at the Villari's 'Instructors College', where he learned not only the tenets and skills required of a student, but also techniques, structure, and patience required of an instructor.
After achieving his brown belt, Sensei Sean transferred to Villari's Lake Park for close to 3 years, receiving his black belt during that time, and has now opened Villari's Lake Park Martial Arts.
